Hi There!
I’m Darren Cope. Thank you for visiting!
I’m a cyclocross enthusiast and recreational road cyclist living in the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada area. I ride approximately 6000 road kilometers (3700 miles) per year, race ‘cross in the fall and dabble at cross-country skiing in the Gatineau Hills when the snow gets too deep to ride bikes. I’m the author of an eBook about cyclocross, titled Cyclocross for Roadies: How and Why to Get Started, which will be available for sale on September 9, 2010. Find out more about the book here!
I’m a GIS geek by trade, and enjoy all things geography related, with a particular interest in Open-Source GIS Software.
I also very much enjoy wilderness canoe tripping, but keep most of that on my other site, Darren’s Outdoor Page.
Please enjoy your stay here, and leave a comment on anything you feel is interesting!
Cheers,
Darren Cope
