Hi There!
I’m Darren; thanks for visiting!
I’m a cyclocross enthusiast and recreational road cyclist living in Perth, Ontario, Canada. I ride approximately 6000 road kilometers (3700 miles) per year, race ‘cross in the fall and dabble at cross-country skiing in the Gatineau Hills when the snow gets too deep to ride bikes. I’m the author of an eBook about cyclocross, titled Cyclocross for Roadies: How and Why to Get Started, which you can learn all about (and purchase!) by clicking here!
I’m a GIS geek by trade, and enjoy all things geography related, with a particular interest in Open-Source GIS Software. I love a good GIS brain teaser, so if you’ve got a problem you’re stuck on, perhaps I can help!
If you want to talk bikes, or need some help with your GIS project, feel free to get in touch. The best way is via the form below. Thanks for visiting!

It seems you bike a lot.
I read through your blogspot. Lots of good info. You should join up with a bike club. It is a way to get in base miles that are fun and less boring than just hammering it out alone.
