Bulk Delete Multiple Rides (Activities) in Golden Cheetah
Like anyone new to Golden Cheetah, I have spent my fair share of time messing around trying to figure out how to get things to work and playing with my data. In doing so, I inevitably screwed up some of the rides (in my case, loaded a bunch of Sigma memory files rather than log files.) Wanting to delete these, I was faced with right-clicking every single one in the Activity History pane, and manually deleting. This was going to take forever! Luckily, a quick solution was found:
To delete multiple files from Golden Cheetah easily, go to Help > About. Here you will see a link that says “Activity files and other data are stored in” and then a hyperlink to a directory. Simply click the link, and an explorer window will pop up. Here you can delete many records quickly and easily!
Hopefully this little tip will save some frustration in trying to get Golden Cheetah up and running. Another good tip is to create a ‘Test’ Athelete profile that you can load all your data into to ‘play’ with, and have your real profile where you have actual data that you don’t want to mess up!
Enjoy GC!
